Suckley is a Co-educational County Primary School for children aged 4 to I I years. It is a small rural school situated in the village of Suckley. Suckley is located 9 miles west of Worcester and midway between Malvern and Bromyard.
The school serves a wide geographical area with pupils attending from the villages of Suckley, Alfrick, Longley Green and beyond. Although priority for admission is given to children who live within the catchment area, children from other areas are welcome to come to the school, providing the school can accommodate them.
Suckley School enjoys the benefit of an idyllic rural location. It is surrounded by fields and open countryside, adjacent to a farm and the village church. The school building is over 100 years old and is of traditional design and brick construction. The interior of the building has been modernised to provide a pleasant learning environment. The school grounds consist of hard and grassed playgrounds, and a wild garden area and pond. In addition to this we benefit from being able to use the nearby village playing fields complete with all-weather football pitch and tennis court. The school offers plenty of space for sport and play. The school has been awarded the Activemark Award for good quality PE in 2007 and 2008 and it now benefits from Forest School Status.
The school is well equipped with the resources necessary to meet the needs of the National Curriculum and the Literacy and Numeracy strategies. We have an attractive reference library and up to date I.T suite.
The school currently enjoys a very advantageous teacher pupil ratio, plus classroom assistance.

The whole
school went potty, when Jon Williams ,local potter from Eastnor
Pottery, came to work with pupils in the school. He demonstrated the
potters wheel, much to the fasination of the children.
This was
followed by a hands-on demonstration where each pupil made their own
individual tile. Eventually, this will all be made into one big clock
to take pride of place within the school.
